Envision IT Fall 2026 Conference Roundup

From September 10 to October 2, the Envision IT team visited several cities to connect with new communities and attend events. Peter Carson began in London and finished in Barcelona. Logan Guest went to a first-time event in Dublin. Meanwhile, Kevin Smith and part of our team stayed in Toronto for a sold-out Community Day at Microsoft Canada Headquarters.

Here’s a conference roundup of where we went and why over the past month.

IAMCP UK&I Partner Exchange: London (September 10)

We kicked things off in a familiar spot, with Peter Carson heading back to Microsoft’s Paddington offices for the IAMCP UK&I Partner Exchange in London.

About the event: The IAMCP UK&I Partner Exchange brings Microsoft partners from the UK and Ireland together for a day of learning, networking, and collaboration. The program featured business and technical breakout sessions, partner speed networking, and time to explore co-sell opportunities and align with Microsoft’s goals. This main in-person event highlights IAMCP’s growth in the region. It helps UK and Irish partners work together and shows London as a key hub for the UK&I Microsoft partner community.

Why we went: We want to connect with partners in Europe and build relationships in the UK and Ireland. Spending a full day with Microsoft partners helps us do that. Peter met partners face-to-face, learned about their projects, and looked for ways to work together on co-sell opportunities.

The Extranet User Manager story: This wasn’t our first time there. Back in January, we helped IAMCP launch the IAMCP Event Portal, built on Extranet User Manager. The portal brings the agenda, speakers, sponsors, and attendee directory together in one place. It also lets attendees book partner meetings with one click, with automatic confirmation and scheduling for both sides. We’ve continued to use it to support the Partner Exchanges.

How we support IAMCP UK&I: We’re proud to help IAMCP UK&I grow in the United Kingdom and Ireland and strengthen the Microsoft partner community. Building on our earlier work, such as the IAMCP Event Portal, we focus on:

  • Better partner engagement through modern digital experiences
  • More effective partner-to-partner collaboration and networking
  • Easier access to event information, attendees and content
  • A stronger overall event experience that leads to real business outcomes

What we offer partners: For us, the Partner Exchanges are a chance to explore new ways to work with other Microsoft partners. We help partners help their existing customers improve workplace management and governance, and help new customers identify problem spots to fix in their tenant using the Tenant Dashboard for Microsoft 365.

The IAMCP London event demonstrated how much the partner community has grown since January. Three weeks later, the community reached another milestone.

IAMCP UK&I Partner Exchange: Dublin (September 30)

On September 30, Logan went to IAMCP’s first Partner Exchange in Ireland, held at One Microsoft Court.iamcp dublin partner exchange 2026

About the event: Dublin had the same goal as London: helping partners connect, learn and grow, this time with a focus on Ireland. The day brought Microsoft-aligned organizations together to explore new business models, align with Microsoft priorities and speed up co-sell initiatives across markets. As the first event of its kind in Ireland, it was an important step in growing IAMCP's presence in the region.

Why we went: For the same reason Peter went to London: to connect with partners in Europe. Dublin let us meet Irish partners on their home ground and connect with organizations we might not have met otherwise. Being part of an inaugural event mattered to us, too.

How we supported it: We supported IAMCP UK&I’s move into Ireland the same way we do in London by helping partners connect, collaborate, and find the people and information they need.

Attending two Partner Exchanges in three weeks, with team members on both sides of the Irish Sea, made our travel to Europe well worth it.

Envision IT at European Microsoft Fabric + SQL Community Conference 2026

FabCon Europe: Barcelona (September 28 – October 1)

Two and a half weeks after London, Peter brought our partner conversations to FabCon Europe, this time focusing on a different area of expertise. As a Silver Sponsor and first-time attendee, we joined the Microsoft Fabric community and started building relationships in a fast-growing part of the Microsoft ecosystem.

About the event: The European Microsoft Fabric + SQL Community Conference brought the Fabric, Power BI, and data analytics community to the International Barcelona Convention Center for four days. The program included keynotes, expert-led sessions, and hands-on workshops on data engineering, warehousing, real-time insights, governance, AI, and analytics. We also had time to connect with peers, Microsoft leaders, MVPs, and solution providers.

Why we went: Fabric is a natural next step for us. We’ve spent years helping organizations get more from Microsoft platforms, and many are now moving to Fabric.

Not everyone at FabCon is at the same stage in that journey. Some attendees are just starting to learn what Fabric can do, while others are deep into implementation, working through integration, governance, and development challenges. We wanted to help both groups: supporting newcomers as they get started and helping teams with the more complex integration and development work that Fabric often requires.

What we promoted:

  • Envision IT's Fabric Learning Series: A free online series led by Microsoft MVP Peter Carson that takes people from understanding Fabric to building with it. Each session is a live walkthrough of a working environment. Topics include connecting SaaS systems with a Medallion Master Data Management approach, writing master data back to source systems, managing Fabric development with Azure DevOps and Git, and AI-authored paginated reports. Every session is available on demand, with no registration needed.
  • Extranet User Manager for Fabric: Many organizations have built their Fabric data platform but still send reports to customers, funders, and vendors as PDF email attachments. Extranet User Manager adds a secure external layer on top of Fabric so that you can share Power BI dashboards and paginated reports with people outside your organization. Row-level security ensures each user sees only their own data, and Power BI Embedded means you don't need a license for every external user.

Community Days M365 Toronto 2026

Community Days | M365 Toronto Day 2026 (October 2)

While Peter and Logan were in Europe, the rest of the team stayed home to get ready for one of our favourite days of the year. We didn’t just attend Community Days M365 Toronto Day; we also helped run the event.

Our participation: We were a Gold Sponsor of the sold-out event at Microsoft Canada Headquarters. The Toronto M365 User Group organizes the day, and Peter Carson is the group's president. Kevin Smith was on the organizing committee, and a few others ran our booth and volunteered that day.

Why we went: We joined Community Days because it’s a great way to give back. As longtime members of Toronto's Microsoft community, organizing the event helps us stay involved. One of our Solution Architects, Maha, gave a talk called How Work Really Gets Done: Teams, SharePoint, and Copilot from a User Perspective. She explained how Microsoft 365 setups that follow the organizational chart can lead to Teams sprawl, duplicate workspaces, and knowledge loss, and how Copilot can make these issues even more challenging.

What we promoted: At our booth, we continued the conversation from the session. If your Microsoft 365 environment doesn’t match how work actually happens, you might not know everything that’s in it. We talked with attendees about what could be hiding in their tenants: forgotten Teams, overshared files, guest users who never left, and permissions that have changed over time. Copilot can reveal all of this. Many people we spoke with were surprised by how much they couldn’t see, and most wanted to know where to begin.

Curious about what’s in your environment?

Join our free 30-minute webinar, What's Hiding in Your Microsoft 365 Tenant?, on October 20th at 11 AM ET. We’ll show you where risks can build up and how the Tenant Dashboard gives you a clear view of your environment.

Final Thoughts

Attending four events in four countries gave us more than just new contacts. We noticed that no matter where organizations are with Microsoft 365, they’re all asking the same question: how can we get more out of what we already have?

For some, it starts with understanding what’s really in their tenant. For others, it’s about building a data foundation they can trust before adding AI. For many, it’s about opening Microsoft 365 to partners and clients while still controlling who can see what.

That’s the work we’ll keep doing as we follow up on conversations from London, Dublin, Barcelona, and Toronto. We’ll keep building partner relationships across Europe, continue teaching through the Fabric Learning Series, and keep supporting the Toronto community that has supported us for years.

Thank you to the IAMCP UK&I team, the FabCon Europe organizers, the Toronto M365 User Group organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who stopped by to say hello. We look forward to seeing you at the next event.
