Live Session: How Work Really Gets Done: Rethinking Teams, SharePoint and Copilot

Most organizations assume their Microsoft 365 environment reflects how work gets done. It doesn't.
Look closely, and you'll find several organizations operating at once: the formal organization of departments and reporting structures, the informal organization built on relationships and influence, and the value-creation organization where products are built, services are delivered, investigations are conducted, projects move forward, and real outcomes are produced.

The problem is that most Microsoft 365 environments are designed almost entirely around the org chart.
The result is familiar: Teams sprawl, endless chat threads, documents trapped in OneDrive, duplicate workspaces, and knowledge that disappears when key people leave. With Copilot now surfacing information across the digital workplace, these challenges are becoming harder to ignore.
In this session, we explore a different way to think about information architecture. Instead of starting with technology, we'll start with how organizations govern, learn, create value, and build knowledge.

Using real-world examples from manufacturing, public-sector infrastructure, and professional regulators, we'll examine why some collaboration spaces thrive while others become digital filing cabinets.
