The analysis phase needs to involve participation from across the organization. People closest to the content itself need to decide what to migrate, what to archive, and what to delete.

While this can be an overwhelming task, it is very important. Rather than being paralyzed by the scope, it is best to tackle it in manageable chunks. This is where our Power BI dashboard and Excel planning tool become important.

The Power BI dashboard allows you to quickly see aggregated metadata for large numbers of documents, to help make decisions. Understanding what year documents were created or last modified allows decisions to be made quickly on groups of documents. These decisions can be recorded in the planning Excel and used to filter the dashboard, so you don’t need to keep revisiting groups of documents that you’ve completed the analysis on.
