EUM V7 Upgrade Requirements for EUM not hosted by Envision IT

Below are the requirements for upgrading an EUM not hosted by Envision IT to EUM version 7.5 and higher:

Entra ID P1 or P2 License

  1. Within the Entra ID Overview page, you will see the License type you have. Please let us know the license you have.
  2. We would need a P1 or a P2 license for EUM to be able to work.
    Entra ID License

If you do not have a P1 or a P2 License, you can purchase one and apply it to any user in your Entra ID, and that would work fine for the EUM upgrade. Please refer to the pricing here:

Azure AI Search

Two instances of Basic Azure AI Search, each costing USD 73.73/month, totaling USD 147.46/month would be needed in your subscription. Please refer to the pricing here:  Azure AI Search Pricing

Microsoft 365 Backup

To ensure a safe and reliable upgrade of your EUM, Microsoft 365 Backup is strongly recommended to be available within your Azure subscription. This would be applicable if we are upgrading your EUM to version 7.5 or higher. For information about Microsoft 365 Backup, please refer to the Microsoft documentation:

Custom Domains

EUM typically has two websites — EUM Admin and EUM Portal. Before Go Live, you would need two domains or subdomains for these websites. Examples: admin.contoso.com for the EUM Admin and portal.contoso.com for the EUM Portal.
