Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. As the Senior Accountant, you will perform all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements. As a key member of the team, you will encourage innovative ideas that are sound and progressive, challenge the status quo, and support creativity in your area of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full cycle accounting including hands-on processing of day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, billings and collections, and payroll
• Preparing cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handling daily cash management
• Completing monthly end close process
• Preparing financial statements, both internal and external
• Preparing monthly financial indicators as selected
• Preparing cash flow analyses and budget variance analyses
• Preparing special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Participating in the budgeting processes
• Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations
• Establishing and maintaining financial controls
• Assessing and improving accounting processes and procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
• Enrolled in the CPA certification program
• 3+ years experience as a Senior Accountant
• Software and professional services company experience is preferred
• Knowledge of QuickBooks
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
