QA Specialist

Who we are:

Envision IT (and Extranet User Manager) is 20+ year old Microsoft Gold Partner company that is very much in startup mode over the last year. While the majority of the staff have been with Envision IT for 5-20 years, we've been adding some new hires this year. Though much of the work is organized remotely through Microsoft Teams meetings, we balance that with regular face to face meetings, both for work and social purposes.

Extranet User Manager is a suite of products targeted at organizations that want to build an online community on top of the Microsoft platform. External user on-boarding and management, an end-user portal and content management system, documents collaboration, and reporting and dashboards are all part of the solution. Scenarios include customer, partner, vendor, donor, volunteer, or citizen portals.

Who you are:

Are you a detail oriented, experienced Quality Assurance person? As an ideal candidate, who is legally able to work in Canada, you will take over the lead from our current QA person who is moving into a full-time role in Customer Success. You will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and executing manual and automated test plans and test cases for both our Extranet User Manager product suite (www.extranetusermanager.com) and for our Envision IT client projects.

A typical day might involve:

• Providing leadership and consulting on quality assurance methodology
• Improving, sustaining, driving, and monitoring quality assurance processes, practices, and controls
• Developing and sustaining Automated Testing and integrating it with the CI/CD process within Azure DevOps
• Delivering testing estimates and progress reports to Project Managers
• Working within Agile methodology, creating test plans, performing functional and regression testing for multiple projects, and presenting test reports to stakeholders
• Registering bugs in Azure DevOps and coordinating with Project Managers and Developers towards resolving the bugs
• Coordinate with stakeholders to investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with requirements
• Develop and sustain Performance Testing and API testing processes

What you bring (Must have):

• Be legally able to work in Canada
• Experience in Functional Testing, API Testing, Test Automation with Selenium, Manual Testing, Writing Test Plans and Test Reports
• Experience testing web-based applications in multiple browsers and devices
• Strong ability to analyze requirements and identify testing needs
• Familiarity with Agile Methodology
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• A passion for testing the application to its limits and finding ways to break it
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines
• Ability to attend the onsite company meeting

Bonus:

• Experience with Selenium Test Automation with C#
• Knowledge of API Testing with Authentication requirement
• Comprehension of SharePoint, Azure App Services and Logic Apps, DevOps, PowerBI and Visual Studio
• Knowledge of JMeter for Performance Testing
