SharePoint Summit 2010

Montreal, QC
SharePoint Summit

Envision IT is excited to announce that for the second year, President Peter Carson has been invited to deliver presentations at the SharePoint Summit in Montreal. Now in its fourth successful year, the summit runs from April 12th-14th and will have some of the best and most knowledgeable experts in North America to present and teach attendees about SharePoint.

The 2010 SharePoint Summit offers attendees the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, connect and network with people involved in making SharePoint work for businesses across the globe. Strategies for Information Architecture, business-relevant SharePoint solutions, world-class SharePoint products and the planning and deployment of SharePoint will be discussed amongst participants.

Peter Carson will present two sessions at the Summit. The first, on Day 2, is Social Computing in SharePoint 2010: People Search, My Sites, Blogs, Wikis and Tagging. Part case study and part real-world demo, this session explores the growing importance of social computing in SharePoint 2010. The second session on Day 3 is Upgrading from MOSS and Leveraging Web Content Management in SharePoint 2010. This session will demonstrate some of the new WCM features of SharePoint 2010 and how these can benefit organizations. Participants will get a first-hand look at how Peter and Envision IT have upgraded a client Intranet Portal for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and Envision IT's public website, previously built on MOSS 2007, to SharePoint 2010.
