The Client

Halton Healthcare Services is a multi-site healthcare organization providing access to three of the top community hospitals in the province.  Serving the growing communities of Milton, Oakville, Clarkson and Halton Hills, HHS Hospitals are very much a part of Halton's rich history and have a long-standing tradition of providing quality care to many generations of area families. Together, they serve over 275,000 residents. Halton Healthcare's three hospitals are part of the Mississauga Halton LHIN, which covers approximately 900 square kilometres and includes the municipalities of South Etobicoke, Mississauga, Halton Hills, Oakville, and Milton.

The Solution

When Halton Healthcare Services decided to implement a collaboration portal for their Board of Directors, SharePoint became the obvious choice based on functionality, ease of use and ability to set custom access. Envision IT installed MOSS 2007and developed an out-of-the-box corporate site that will be well aligned with future intranet plans. The new Board Portal is destined to be a one-stop shop for all board materials and resources including meeting minutes, agendas, motions, schedules, as well as access to committee materials and links, and become an invaluable communication tool for all members.
