The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited is one of North America's largest investors, owners and managers of commercial real estate. For more than 50 years Cadillac Fairview has been leading the way in commercial real estate with innovative design, development and management.

Cadillac Fairview focuses on developing and managing high quality office properties and regional shopping centres in Canada and the United States, as well as international investments in real estate companies and investment funds. With a portfolio valued at more than $20 billion, Cadillac Fairview and its affiliates own and manage nearly 48 million square feet of leaseable space at 85 properties across North America, including some of Canada's landmark developments, such as Toronto-Dominion Centre, Toronto Eaton Centre, Pacific Centre and Chinook Centre.

The Challenge

In the retail space, this means providing their retail partners with dynamic and highly effective platforms to showcase their brands, products and services and creating a retail experience that is welcoming and personally enriching for shoppers. The new CF Retail website serves as a showcase for Cadillac Fairview's retail leasing business, demonstrating their commitment to expansion and modernization of key assets and leasing opportunities.

The Solution

The website, developed in SharePoint 2007, features a Property Search that allows potential tenants to view available property locations on an interactive map. Users can switch to a List View that provides key contact information and quick links to property pages that deliver more detailed information. The property pages display information in a tabbed format so that users can quickly find exactly what they are looking for – from property statistics, to floor plans, photographs, tenant lists, location and competitor maps to an easy-to use download feature.

The site is fully bilingual and the majority of information in the site is pulled from back-end databases or SharePoint libraries, ensuring the site is up-to-date with the latest data and making updates to the site easy. The site is full of imagery that reflects the character of Cadillac Fairview and the individual properties, with a home page image rotator and photo galleries for each property. Visitors are encouraged to interact – view maps, download information, and ultimately contact property leasing personnel.
