Digital Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a technically savvy, creative, results-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to collaborate with our experienced team to help tell our exciting story to a global audience. Reporting to the Vice President, Product and Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning and managing marketing and communications for Envision IT (EIT) and Extranet User Manager (EUM). Guided by the marketing strategy and based on direction provided by the leadership team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will manage and evolve our digital and marketing communications strategy and requisite marketing deliverables.

The successful candidate must have a strong technical foundation and a specific knowledge of Microsoft 365 (M365) features and benefits, given that they will be playing a leading role in our global thought leadership initiatives, which are led by our President, a 13-time Microsoft MVP, who presents to audiences internationally. They will also need to demonstrate a proven ability to understand sophisticated technical solutions built in M365 and interpret and translate them for technically diverse audiences. Familiarity with B2B marketing best practices, content marketing principles, and thought leadership marketing will assist in brand building and demand generation for both a SaaS company and an established professional services firm. Finally, process-orientation will be important for managing a strong cadence of data-driven outputs using HubSpot, the EUM CMS, and Microsoft productivity tools.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage the content marketing plan and calendar, ensuring that both company websites and LinkedIn pages are updated several times a week.
  • Coordinate the activity of our external digital agency to ensure their contribution supports the ongoing content marketing plan.
  • Be the primary content author for EUM and EIT’s corporate LinkedIn posts and, when not authoring posts, ensure the designated author is providing content on a timely basis and to established quality standards.
  • Be the primary thought partner for our President, helping him to create presentations, scripted demonstrations, and articles for his thought leadership presentations at global events, webinars, and client presentations.
  • Be a key contributor for EUM and EIT content, including website pages, articles, case studies, and events.
  • Manage the production and distribution of our monthly newsletters.
  • Lead the planning and execution of our webinars, including creating draft invitations, presentation decks, and follow-up material.
  • Collaborate frequently with the EUM Sales Development Representative to ensure tight integration of inbound and outbound sales and marketing, managed through HubSpot.
  • Manage Marketing Operations, ensuring key processes are followed and evolve based on a quarterly review with stakeholders.
  • Manage the content marketing performance dashboard, and ensure the analysis is factored into content development planning.
  • In collaboration with the sales, marketing, and management teams, assist in managing EUM and EIT’s participation in third-party events such as trade shows and conferences, with a primary focus on event collateral and presentation decks.
  • Support the sales team by assisting with the creation of sales collateral such as product information sheets, presentation decks, and proposals.
  • Support partner marketing by ensuring that audience’s requirements are factored into the overall content marketing plan, and by producing the requisite material when needed.
  • Develop expertise in best practices for B2B SaaS companies’ marketing communications on social channels and websites and develop recommendations for improving EUM and EIT’s utilization of digital channels.

The Fit

  • University or College degree or equivalent business experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, ideally supported by certified training
  • A minimum of 3+ years B2B experience with previous experience in the IT industry is required
  • Motivated and proven record of accomplishment for taking initiative
  • Passion for writing, visualization, and communication in all forms
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and ideas quickly
  • Process orientation and some experience in project management are important
  • Collaborate with a diverse team, as well as work independently
  • Knowledge of HubSpot, CMS platforms, Google Analytics, and additionally Siteimprove would be an asset
  • Experience with Generative AI would be a strong asset
